Jim and Jessica spent two nights at Kentucky-Alleyne near Merritt. One of the purposes of the trip was to practice some astronomy.
The moon was at first quarter.
Saturn and Mars were below the moon in Scorpius but we did not take any photos.
During the day, we walked around Kentucky Lake and went swimming and biking.
On the second night, we stayed up late to photograph and watch meteors. We saw a bright one but in a different direction than the cameras were pointing. Can you spot the Andromeda galaxy?
In the morning, it was off to Kamloops to pick up Rebecca for a weekend at home to go to Playland.
